*%$&, so that is precisely why we've chosen HOTNESS to warm up your HD
radios as our RIFF2 Detroit Band Of The Month!

sisters! 
 
Formed in late '04, the Detroit based band Hotness has been meticulously
fine-tuning their sound and live show much akin to a classic car buff that
restores their 70's Mustang. Influenced by those that came before such as
The Faces, Humble Pie, T-Rex, Zeppelin and Queen, they long not to reinvent
the wheel, but to simply put some kick ass rims on it. Aimed at keeping
Detroit's "ball of trend-setting ingenuity" in motion they released their
first EP - We're Taking Over - in the summer of '05. 

Noteworthy achievements to date include: being featured on PBS in an episode
of Rock and Roll Safari  in January 2007. The show, produced by Can You Hear
Me TV, is a documentary featuring "live concert footage and interviews with
some of the local scene's top independent talent" (Rachel May - The Detroit
Free Press, 1/5/07). Hotness also wrote a track specifically for The Sweet
Sounds of Detroit Volume One compilation, which has also been featured on
PBS and was nominated for a 2007 Detroit Music Award. 

Their first LP, 3rd Time's A Charm, produced by the fabulous Jim Diamond
(White Stripes/The Dirtbombs/The Sights) has been released! You can preview
